Contact Information:

My name is Diane Salvador Hutchison, and I am in my 22nd year as the administrator of Jefferson County Christian School. I am the daughter of a career Army officer and so I have lived in many states and even overseas. I attended a large, public high school in the Washington, DC area but graduated from Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy in Wheeling, WV. I attended the University of Dayton but moved on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Mathematics 4-8 from what is now West Liberty University.

After teaching in the public school setting in Ohio County,WV for six years, I chose to stay at home to raise my three children who were three and under at the time. I sent my oldest son to JCCS for preschool and was amazed by the quality and spirit of the program. When it came time to send my daughter, the school was in need of a preschool teacher. I felt led to apply, was hired, and was responsible for the preschool program at JCCS for nine years. During those years, I received a Masters of Science degree in Education from the University of Dayton with a specialization in Learning Disabilities K-12.

In the summer of 1996, I was approached by a member of the School Board to consider becoming the school’s next administrator. In praying and contemplating that move on the shores of Myrtle Beach, I heard the Lord call me to that position and promise: “Remain in me and I will remain in you.” I have been the administrator of JCCS since that July to the present.  In fact, my life verse is John 15:5.

I LOVE my work here. I love being part of a place where we can share the truth of Jesus Christ with his precious children all day AND give them a solid academic education. I love that I help to provide a place where young people can learn what they need to learn and not be lied to as to where LIFE really is. I will keep working fervently to that end until the Lord calls me in a different direction. I love Him and I love serving Him here.

I have been married for thirty-seven years to my husband, Don. I have three children: Matthew, Mallorie, and Daniel who attended JCCS for all 14 years of their school careers and graduated in 03, 05, and 06 respectively. Matthew is married to Jena.  They have two sons, Henry and Luke, and live at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Mallorie is married to Kent and they have two children, Grant and Lily, and reside at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Seattle, Washington.  Dan works and lives here locally and I am glad : ) My greatest and grandest attainment however, is that I was born into the family of God in October of 1987 and I belong to the Lord Jesus Christ now and forever.
