Jefferson County Christian School is a non-profit, Christ-centered, non-denominational, Christian school that offers a strong Bible-based curriculum that encourages academic excellence. The Christian School is a tool to help the parent in fulfilling their responsibility of education. (Deut.7:4-9) JCCS is an alternative choice of education that teaches Jesus Christ as the center of all learning and living and presents the way of salvation to each student. The religious training given at the Jefferson County Christian School does not stress any particular religious denomination, but emphasizes a strong Bible foundation and basic principles of Christian conduct and character. Children are taught to obey their parents, to respect their teachers and those in authority, and to appreciate our great American heritage.

Is JCCS an accredited school?

Yes, Jefferson County Christian School is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education and is a charter member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Is JCCS affiliated with a specific church or denomination?

No, JCCS is a Christian, independent, board run school. Our student body is comprised of many churches from the area.

Can my child get individual attention?

Yes, JCCS offers small class sizes with a student/teacher ratio of 8:1. Each child is recognized for their unique gifts and talents in order to help them achieve their God-given potential.

Is JCCS affordable?

Yes, JCCS offers a competitive tuition rate based on offering excellent, Bible-based instruction in all curricular areas. Tuition discounts and Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Please contact the Administrator for more information.

Does JCCS Offer Busing?

Yes, busing is offered by Harrison County and all school districts within Jefferson County.

Do you have a hot lunch program?

Yes, JCCS offers an affordable catered lunch daily with milk or juice available for purchase as well. Orders are turned in every Friday for the following week.

Are JCCS teachers certified?

Yes, JCCS teachers are certified. Faculty must take continuing education in order to maintain certification.

Does JCCS offer any post-secondary options?

Yes, we partner with Ohio Christian University and offer a wide selection of 3 & 4 credit courses to eligible students that can be taken online at JCCS.
