I have been a teacher and also the school nurse at JCCS since 1995. Earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing gave me the opportunity to become a part of the JCCS teaching staff. I was born in Chile and have traveled extensively throughout the world. Through God’s gift, I am fluent in various languages and currently teach French and Spanish, as well as Anatomy and Physiology. My love of cultures and of the diversity of God’s people led me early on in my career at JCCS to establish a high school cultural and social fellowship club. Today, this club is known as ACCENT. Students have the opportunity to join ACCENT and participate in many different activities through the year, allowing them to discover and experience a broad cultural spectrum as well as to develop wholesome relationships with their peers. Every three years, I have also had the privilege to lead educational trips to Europe for interested high school students, staff, and families of JCCS.

I am married and have seven children, all of them graduates of JCCS. Recently one of my daughters joined the staff of JCCS. I consider JCCS my home away from home, a place where I know I will be supported in my Christian walk, as well as a place where I know God has called me for a very specific mission. Christian-centered teaching can serve as an opportunity to help expand the heart and minds of students. Through my personal daily testimony and through each of my classes, it is my mission to help my students expand their minds to achieve the highest academic standard possible. By helping them to expand their hearts, they can then mirror the heart of God.
