My name is Sandy Pine. I have been at JCCS since 2013, first as an aide and now as the Kindergarten teacher. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Messiah College in 1985. I enjoy singing, reading, collecting antiques, and remodeling our home.
I was raised in Calverton, Maryland, and married my husband, David, in 1986. We lived in Maryland and Texas before moving to the Upper Ohio Valley in 1994 to do church planting work. We have ministered in many of the churches on the West Virginia side of the valley, and are currently living in Weirton while worshipping and serving with Colonial Baptist Church. We have four sons, three daughters-in-law, and one grandson.
For 20 years, I was a homemaker and homeschooled all our children. I was a part-time Crew Trainer at McDonald’s for 5 years before returning to the classroom in 2013. It is such a blessing to return to the calling that God has placed on my heart: passing on the love and service of Jesus Christ to the next generation.
One of my favorite verses is Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in well-doing, for at the proper time we shall reap a harvest, if we do not give up.”
I am so blessed that God led me to JCCS, and I look forward to seeing these precious young children grow into the young men and women that He would have them be.
